2) What is an ideal substrate?
Fellow growers who still cultivate in the soil speak of ideal greenhouse soil when:
- the soil is free of disease
- the soil possesses an appropriate air-water balance
- the soil can be steerable
- the water content and density of the soil is constant everywhere in the greenhouse
- the plants are supplied with water and nutrients.
